By using greencomparesolar.in you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, the honest advice is not to use the site, though we'd rather you wrote to hello@greencompare.in and told us what feels wrong.
What this site is, and isn't
GreenCompare Solar is an independent educational and comparison platform. We are not a solar installer, a manufacturer, a financier, or a government body, and nothing here is professional, financial or legal advice. We help you understand rooftop solar and shortlist sensibly; the decision, and the contract you eventually sign, are yours.
Estimates, the calculator and Solar Match
Every number this site produces, savings, payback, system size, subsidy amounts, brand matches, is an indicative model built from stated assumptions and data we verified as of July 2026. Tariffs change, subsidy rules change, prices move weekly. Before spending money, verify current figures with your DISCOM and the official portal at pmsuryaghar.gov.in. If our model and reality disagree, reality wins, and we won't be liable for decisions made on the model alone.
Quote requests
Submitting the estimate form invites us to contact you about your estimate. If you ask for quotes, they come from third-party MNRE-empanelled installers. Any contract, payment, workmanship, warranty or dispute is strictly between you and the installer, we are not a party to it and accept no liability for their work. Use our installer scorecard before signing; that's what it's for.
Brands and editorial independence
Brand names and trademarks on this site belong to their owners. Their appearance means we compared them, not that they endorse us or we them. Our comparisons and matches are editorial judgments anchored to cited data, and no brand pays to appear, rank, or be matched. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page itself.
Using the site fairly
The content here is ours (or licensed to us) and is offered for your personal, non-commercial use. Read it, share links to it, quote it with attribution. Don't scrape it at scale, republish it wholesale, misrepresent it, or submit someone else's personal details without their consent.
The legal ceiling
The site is provided "as is". We work hard on accuracy, the verification dates on each page are real, but we can't warrant that everything is error-free or current at the moment you read it. To the maximum extent Indian law permits, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Hyderabad, Telangana having jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will tell you when. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
